September blues

My husband moved to Kansas in August and I am still in Maryland with the house which is for sale (see the picture).  I have my studio packed up and am missing working on my art work.

This past weekend my sister, niece and I went to Virginia Tech to see my nephew in the marching band.  He's one of two drum majors for the band.  They were marching for the first home game of the season.  Tech beat Furman 24 - 7.  We got to see Alex's first apartment, it was great.  Four boys living together, they had picked up since "moms" were coming to visit!

August 2008-lots has happened

Photo: View of Cagli, Italy

This summer has been a blur. We started in May traveling to Kansas to see our nephew Mack graduate from Bishop Seabury High School. We are all so proud of him. He's starting in the engineering school at KU this fall.

We spent the month of June in Cagli, Italy.  Mike was teaching web design and I was exploring, reading, knitting and learning a little Italian.

At the end of July we flew to Oregon for a few days before heading to Alaska for another trip on the boat, Snow Goose, for an 8 day trip through the inland passage.
